DCA & TWAP Agents

Execution plans that run on Runa's servers until they finish or you stop them.

Agents carry out a plan you approve once. They run on Runa's servers, not in your browser, so they keep working after you close the tab and continue after a server restart.

Agents are in ALPHA. Start with small amounts, ideally on a demo account, and keep an eye on the Agents panel and your Telegram reports.

Two Kinds of Agent

  • DCA: a fixed USD amount bought (or sold) at market every interval, for a number of orders or for a duration. Example: $25 of BTC every hour for a day = 25 orders (one now, then hourly).
  • TWAP: a total USD amount split into equal market orders spread evenly over a duration, one per minute unless you choose another interval. Example: $600 of ETH over 30 minutes = 30 orders of $20.

Starting an Agent

  1. Ask Runa AI, e.g. TWAP buy $300 of ETHUSDT on my demo account over 30 minutes or DCA $25 of BTC every hour for 24 hours on Bybit - Main.
  2. Check the card: account, symbol, side, number of orders, size per order, interval and total.
  3. Click Confirm. The first order is placed immediately and the card shows its fill. If that first order is refused, the agent is not started and the card shows why.

Each order must also meet the exchange's own minimum size. For example, on Bybit the smallest SOLUSDT order is 0.1 SOL. If $10 buys less than that, the first order is refused; use a larger amount per order.

Following and Stopping Agents

The AGENTS panel on the Runa AI page shows every agent with its progress, amount spent, average fill price and the time of the next order. Click Stop to end a running agent, or ask Runa AI (“stop agent AG-1A2B3C4D”). Orders that already filled stay in place. You also get a Telegram message when an agent finishes, is stopped or fails.

Safety Rules

  • Every order goes through the normal execution bridge: your account's MAX EXPOSURE guardrail, a unique client order ID (a retry can never double an order) and the usual Telegram reports. Orders are labelled “Runa AI Agent”.
  • Three failed orders in a row stop the agent.
  • While trading is switched off, agents wait and place nothing.
  • After a pause (for example a server restart) the next order runs once; missed orders are never fired in a burst.

Limits During the Alpha

  • At least 1 minute between orders.
  • At least $5 per order (and the exchange minimum).
  • At most $10,000 per agent, 500 orders and 30 days.
  • Up to 5 running agents per user.

Agents work on every connected venue, including Dora bonds on a Dora account.
